International Schools

Who are the 'left behind children' around the world? - BBC News

At St Peter’s we believe that including international work as part of our curriculum and fostering an international ethos throughout the school helps our children to develop:

  • an increased knowledge, awareness and tolerance about other countries, cultures and languages,
  • confidence in communicating with people from different backgrounds,
  • more skills to successfully live and work in a global and mobile society,
  • literacy skills when writing stories and letters for specifics audiences

As well as providing an exciting extra dimension to children’s learning.

We have a number of international projects that run at St Peter’s and while we have outlined them here, you can find out much more using the dedicated links.

Global Collaboration Projects

JDO Global Collaboration Project

We have been involved with the JDO Foundation Global Collaboration Program since 2016. Children in Year 4 and 5 have been partnered with children from the USA and Spain and have used their 1:1 technology to have regular communication and work together with their international peers.

Where in the world?

We have included a number of international elements into our Geography, Literacy and RHSE curriculum to help children learn more about the world around them and their place in it.
