St. Peter's has its very own radio show. Each week we will be updating our show with news from around the world, as well as what is happening in our school.
In our first episode, we made and recorded our own jingle.
In our second epsiode (08/10/19) we speak about our visit from Rabbi Zvi, Yr3's recent trip to Stonehenge, all about a Medieval festival in Leatherhead, our staff bake sale for Macmillan Cancer Support and, as it was National Poetry Day, a reading of the poem 'The Pig' by Roald Dahl.
In our third episode (10/10/19) we speak about the upcoming Football tournament, new film releases, , the threats to gorillas and the Year 2 Music Therapy sessions at Milner House.
In our fourth episode (17/10/19) we speak about how the Music Therapy sessions went, the Harvest Festival, the recent football tournament, our cross-country results, Saint Mother Teresa and our cookery sessions happening at school tomorrow.
In our fifth episode (24/10/19) we learnt about the first Pokemon shop in the UK, we interviewed Mr Tredger about our school's Eco-Friendly Competition and found out all about Climate Change. We also heard about Grandparents' Day and the cookery workshops which Yr1, 3 and 5 took part in.
In our sixth episode (7/11/19) we interview Mr Tyler about the upcoming Girls' Football Tournament and Miss Devlin about her Irish Dancing. We also have a weather report, information for adults about the upcoming election and news about the recent Year 4 trip to the cinema. We also heard about how Kamelia is feeling about her first swimming lesson.
In our seventh episode (21/11/19) we hear about Yr3's trip to Buster Hill Farm, Mr Hugh's 'Goodbye', our Dementia Friends workshops and a recent visit from Unilever about being Germbusters! We also hear more about Remembrance day, Yr5's cinema trip to see 'Wonder' and follow-up with Kamelia about how her first swimming lesson went.
In our most recent episode 8 (28\11/19) the Fishermen's Friends' team reported on a recent football tournament, basketball festival and interviewed Miss Devlin about the new Advent display at the entrance of the school. We also heard about exciting upcoming changes to the KS2 Reading Challenge and Felix's swimming lessons.
