PE Days

Our PE days are Tuesdays and Thursdays. Children should come to school wearing their PE kits on these days. (No earrings should be worn)

Homework

Reading: Children should read for around 10-15  minutes each day and parents should note this in the reading diary. New books are given out on a Friday.

Homework will be handed out on a Friday and is expected to be completed by the following Friday. It can be displayed on Tapestry on given back into school. It should not take more than 30 minutes.

Our Year One classrooms are dynamic, well resourced learning spaces. They share a large outside area which children are able to access throughout the day.

Children have opportunities to; experiment with scientific concepts, engage with computing, make artwork, experience the natural world, design and create structures and models, explore scenarios through role play and learn how to cook simple recipes. Resources to support and extend the children’s reading, writing and mathematical concepts are always available to use.

Children are allowed a snack of fruit or vegetables (provided by the government) during their morning break.
